Plurking My Life Away?
It is not Twitter.com, which enjoys tons of traffic, sometimes crippling traffic that allows one to look at a whale rather than messages. It is not FriendFeed, which I intend to conquer, but is basically a service that gathers from other sites.
It is just Plurk.
Some have complained that the design is cluttered and hard to manage. Some have said that it sucks productive time out of their day. OK.
For me, Plurk.com, is kind of like MSN chat. Are you OLD enough to remember that? You would enter and leave “room” where one, or two, or many others would be engaged in active online chatting. Sometimes there was useful info. Many times there was not. But, IF you put yourself into the process, you could make friends.
I did. I even married one of them. Take that e-harmony.
Anyway, I think that some folks have started to come here from there, Plurk.com. So, I thought I should trash some of things I had here (easily deleted.) I thought I should make a promise to myself to pay attention to this domain for a change, and some content, even if it just my own ramblings.
Which is kind of what I find happening on Plurk, and I like it. Maybe you will too?
